On December 26, 2021, the #1 generator set was successfully connected to the grid and the #2 boiler was ignited, marking the successful completion of the first major overhaul of the main equipment after 10 years of continuous operation. 51 employees and 118 outsourced maintenance workers worked for 600 hours on 129 overhaul projects, focusing on performance restoration, major defect elimination and routine inspection on the boiler, turbine and generator systems and auxiliary control systems. The inspection also included integration of major technical improvements such as efficiency improvement, energy saving and emission reduction.

Since the #1 generator set and #2 furnace successfully entered normal operation on December 30, 2021, the operating conditions have been good, and the operating efficiency is significantly improved. Among them, the electricity consumption of the #2 furnace induced draft fan is reduced by 2,000kW·h per day; the superheater inlet temperature is maintained at about 580℃; the leakage and overflow of the slag dispenser is completely solved; the incinerator has reached the best combustion condition; the leakage of air and ash from the boiler is eliminated as well.

In order to ensure the implementation of the maintenance, the leadership of Hai'an Tianying Environmental Energy set up a maintenance supervising team, coordination team, safety inspection team, maintenance management team, quality supervision and control team, and logistics team. All teams acted in accordance with respective responsibilities, including construction safety, maintenance quality, progress control, acceptance and other aspects regarding the full implementation of the maintenance. This has laid a good foundation for achieving the production target in 2022.
