China Tianying Signs Strategic Cooperation Agreement for China's First 100MWh Gravity Energy Storage Project

On December 13, China Tianying, the IAC Committee of Energy Investments, STERA Energy and Sky Tower (Beijing) Energy Storage Technology officially signed the strategic cooperation agreement for the first 100 MWh gravity energy storage project in China. Under the witness of the Committee of Energy Investments Chairman Shi Dinghuan, STERA Energy Chairman Neil Bush, China Tianying Chairman Yan Shengjun, and Sky Tower Energy Storage Director Yuan Shengjun, Zhang Jie, Vice President and Secretary General of the Committee of Energy Investments, Fang Hong, CEO of STERA Energy, Cao Debiao, CEO of China Tianying and Li Shuai, General Manager of Sky Tower Energy Storage, signed the agreement on behalf of the four parties online and offline simultaneously.

The four-party strategic cooperation will focus on jointly promoting the implementation of the 100 MWh gravity energy storage project in Rudong County, Jiangsu Province, and will provide a strong combination of resources in design and planning, technical solutions, construction, operation, investment and financing.

As a large international environmental protection and new energy company, China Tianying has formed a new business strategy layout of "environmental protection + new energy" through its efforts in recent years. In this November, China Tianying and Rudong County Government signed the New Energy Industry Investment Agreement, aiming to build a zero-carbon energy demonstration center in the Yangtze River Delta, improve the quality of renewable energy generation and use through energy storage technologies.

In order to further implement the science and technology innovation strategy, China Tianying established a wholly-owned subsidiary, Jiangsu Nengying New Energy Technology Development Co., Ltd. to focus on business related to renewable energies and zero carbon industry.
